Sometimes my photography business has a way of reconnecting me with folks that I’ve lost touch with in recent days.  I met Laura when her 2nd daughter, Mary Claire, and my oldest were in 3 year preschool together.  Jack was quite smitten with Mary Claire that year (though sad to say neither one remembers the other now at 8!)  At the time, Laura was toting around an adorable baby boy.  We ended up in different classes after that and then on to different schools and we lost touch.  Then one day we recently ran into each other.  What a delight to catch up quickly as we passed each other!  And, to my delight, Laura was preparing for the arrival of baby #4 and asked if I would do the honor of taking sweet baby “Ellie’s” newborn pictures.

I think I’ll always have a special attraction for baby girls, most likely because my own babies came home in blue.  So it was my absolute pleasure to snuggle up and spend time with the gorgeous Miss Eliana and her fantastic trio of siblings.  I believe that the A kids are some of the VERY nicest children I have ever met.  Honestly.  Both older girls came out to my car, in 20 degree temps, to say goodbye at the end of our time together and thank me for coming.  Wow!  I heart them…   Laura, do you have any openings in your homeschool program for a bright 2nd grader?  I’m sure we could find an appropriate barter.  I’m a pretty decent photographer…would that tempt you?  😀

May I please introduce to you the gorgeous, ever perfect, little Miss Ellie.

Were you wondering where these beautiful kids get their looks?  Well, right here, of course!

The amazing big bro/sis trio.  They all wanted to be the one to hold their baby sister!  Thanks, kids, for doing such a great job!  You are all adorable and I know Ellie is going to love bossing you all around!

Grandma came in like a Knight and saved the day for her daughter.  Homeschooling 3 kids and adjusting to a newborn?  Not for the weak!  Grandma stepped in and did what Grandmas do best.  She is a warm and beautiful woman.  I know they will all be sad to see her leave when she heads home.   I’m so happy we have this image of her with her newest grandbaby!

While I was there, we thought it would be a great time to update Mary Claire’s headshots for her upcoming theatrical performance of “Annie”.  I am certain she is an amazing actress.  We had lots of fun capturing these images!

Thank you, Laura, for allowing me into your home to capture your beautiful family as you welcome your sweet baby girl into this world.  I am so glad I had the opportunity to do so!
