I am so excited to share these images with you. I have a new appreciation for being a client after this week’s experience as we had our own family pictures taken by my friend, Beth. Beth is a photographer who, when I was starting out, offered me some advice to help get me on my way. She’s currently taking some time off from photography to pursue her teaching career but dusted off her camera just for our little family. So she was kind enough to turn the camera on me and my peeps. I struggled to figure out what we would wear (and am proud to say that I only had to purchase 1 shirt out of it all!), worried about losing a few pounds before the session ( I didn’t), bribed my kids (it worked) and promised my husband that it wouldn’t take too long. I considered postponing after Tyler took a scissors to the front of his hair (why do they do that!!!???) but didn’t. Sound familiar? I’m sure many of you have done exactly the same thing.
On the big day, I was excited and a little nervous. Would my kids behave? Would everyone smile nicely? Would we have good weather? Would I like the way we looked once I saw them? I’m telling you, I have a new appreciation for my clients. You guys are such troopers for all you go through! Beth was awesome with us and my kids were at ease. I hope you feel that way with me, too! I got home and couldn’t wait until the sneak peek was up! I didn’t have to wait too long, and now you don’t have to either…because here they are!
These are a couple of my favorites. What do you think? I cherish each and every one. I am excited to show you what I’m planning to do with them too! And in a few weeks, feel free to stop in to see it if you are over near me. I’m going to be excited to show it off!!!
And this is a little something I’m working on…
Thank you, Beth. I’m giddy like a school girl. My boys are getting bigger by the minute. Jack’s 10 now and Tyler is 4. Seems like yesterday we were introducing a new baby to our family. I’m so very happy to have these images to remember us as we are right now. And you can bet your bottom dollar I’m gonna print these! No way they are going to sit in my computer.
Don’t wait for the perfect moment to capture your family. Life doesn’t wait. You’ll be so glad you did!
