nine [and mine] | Brentwood Child Photographer

Long overdue are images from my son’s session.  He’s a bit temperamental in front of the camera.  He loves the outcome but doesn’t always welcome the process with open arms.  In fact, he recently created a logo with his initials and an earth on it for his own photography endeavors!  Though he has an April birthday, lots of crazy weather and school kept us busy.  Summer just seems to offer more opportunities to knock things off the ‘to do’ list.  Today was “Jack’s outdoor 9 year old images” day.  He was a trooper, even wearing jeans on a 90 degree day to satisfy his Mimi, who has big plans for a canvas of her favorite image from this session to hang beside one of Tyler from earlier in the year at the same location.

Everyone views photographs with a different eye.  That’s what makes photography such a personal experience.  Mimi has already selected her favorite, which happens to be a different one than I have at the top of my list.  Funny, huh?  I wonder which one you will be drawn to as you view them…

My sweet firstborn…he cracked open my heart and shoved ‘kid love’ in there.  I love him fiercely.  I am a better Mom because of him.  He told me last night that he’ll still love me, even when he’s a teenager.  That’s a good thing, because I know I’ll never stop loving him, not even for a second.  To the moon and back.

thanks for cooperating, Jack.  I think you did a great job and look very ‘9!’
