Tennessee is known for its rolling green hills, lush trees and horse farms. We are blessed to be able to hold outdoor sessions through many months of the year, providing a variety of seasonal backdrops. Outdoor portrait photography is very popular here and most clients that contact me ask about outdoor location options. I love a good open green landscape, but sometimes the background, when printing, provides an abundance of green. Or maybe you’ve had outdoor portraits taken a few times in a nature setting and are looking for something different. May I suggest an urban session.
Downtown Nashville has an abundance of texture and the tall buildings allow us to be more flexible with session times. Harsh sunlight by 10a and through 6p can really limit Summer outdoor sessions, but the shade of the buildings allow a much wider time frame for us for scheduling.
Franklin offers a less metropolitan but similar urban feel as well. A great location for a change of pace! Here’s a look at a few of the many sessions I’ve held in downtown Franklin.
