April’s Super Kid is the darling Miss Hampton! Hampton was nominated by her besties Addie, Lucy, and Brax, triplets who have been in front of my camera many times here at khp. They love Hampton like family and wanted her to have a special photo shoot to show how awesome she is.
Hampton has Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect. She is a trooper who loves to dance and sing and I loved watching her shine.
Here’s what Hampton’s mom, Elizabeth, shared about Hampton: Hampton has Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect. She has had two open heart surgeries and multiple hospital admissions. Many skills take a little more time to master and some extra practice but she always gets there! Sometimes it takes Hampton a little while to warm up to people so a little patience is some times needed to get her best smile.
She didn’t have ANY trouble getting comfortable at the studio. Maybe it was her amazing sibling set that was cheering her on! They sure love each other and are very sweet together.
At the end of our time together, Hampton performed a portion of her dance recital for me. It was the most precious thing I’ve seen and I was excited to capture a little snippet on my camera.
It is such a privilege for me to be able to honor Hampton and her family as a khp Super Kid. Lots of our little friends face challenges that are temporary and/or lifelong. They do hard things and are brave. Hampton is definitely a Super Kid! If you know of a little friend who deserves to be nominated as a khp Super Kid, email me at info@karenhalbertphotography.com with their name and email/contact information.
khp Super Kids and their families receive a complimentary studio session with digital files. The session and files are free and are given as a way to honor the challenges they face and overcome.
