On the brink of the first eve of the new school year, Summer seems even more precious than ever. Our house rule has been “no sleepovers on school nights” and this Summer the boys have spent 90% of their evenings together, taking turns sleeping in one or the other’s room. We may revisit that rule for this upcoming year, as they truly seem to love it so…tonight was a “night fort” built under Tyler’s loft bed. Big brother reading to little brother. Bonding in a way that only siblings can.
Amidst the fighting, taunting and competition, I hope they never forget what they mean to each other. They truly are the best of friends.
