goodbye summer, hello school! | Nashville Back to School Sessions

It might look like its been a sleepy summer over here, but the truth is, we’ve been having a blast!  We’ve had a unique ‘together summer’ this year, with all four of us under the same roof 24/7 as my husband was on the hunt for employment. It turned out to be fun for us all and we took advantage of all Summer has to offer (minus our beloved beach trip – that will have to wait until next year.)

One of my favorite moments of the Summer was going with my youngest to our church’s week long Summer camp in June.  It was his first time attending overnight camp ever and after he shook off the nervousness he loved it! I was the photographer all week and I had the awesome job of capturing all the fun along with a videographer.  It was a blast and I hope to make it an annual event!

All that family fun, with a good amount of work thrown in, didn’t leave much time for blogging and the like! I’d say that’s actually the way I like it.  Sun kissed from pool time, bellies sore from laughing with friends, tires worn from road trips and lots of wiiu family tournaments, bowling, grilling out and movie time.  Add in Summer Church camp and that sums up our two quick months of Summer fun.

Work included mostly indoor sessions from headshots (lots of them  – gotta look your best in front of your clients!) and little ones and cake smashes, which are so much fun! There was a wedding,  a few family sessions and Senior sessions, too, which will be featured in an upcoming blog post. You don’t want to miss those.

Now we are buying backpacks and school supplies and thinking about new classrooms and new teachers! This year, why not have back to school images that you adore instead of the school issue images you are stuck with?
