If you’ve been visiting here on the blog site for any length of time, you know I do my fair share of portrait sessions. I love my job and I love supporting my family with such an amazing career. I get to make money making memories for families and preserving their family legacy. It’s good stuff. But I also do a good bit of work that pays me in other ways. Whenever possible, I try to use my talents to benefit organizations and people that can use it because, frankly, giving feels good! This post isn’t meant to be a “look at what I do” post but more of a glimpse of some of the other things that happen at khp that I don’t as often blog about. I preach to my boys daily about giving and doing for others. I believe that having a servant’s heart is truly something to strive toward. So here’s a little bit of the cool stuff I’ve been involved in lately that I can share with you.
Tyler has been playing baseball for the first time this season. I was thrilled to capture the team for their team pictures this fall.
This weekend I was a volunteer photographer for the Autism Speaks Walk 2013 Event in downtown Nashville. Here’s a look at that morning through my lens.
What can you do with your ‘talent’ today? Encourage a friend, take a meal to someone who needs it, pay for the person behind you in the drive thru? It’s the little things that often go a long way. And if you are a photographer, please consider donating your time to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. We are in desperate need of additional photographers in Nashville. Contact me if you’d like to hear more about it.
