cathy + joe = love | Franklin Wedding Photographer

How did you spend the first day of 2011?  I had the privilege of capturing the love abounding at the marriage of Cathy and Joe.  There’s nothing better to kick off a new year than to watch love blossoming into a lifetime journey for two people so excited to start their lives together.  These are some good people with great families.  (I know, because Cathy’s brother was in our wedding years ago.)  I was so honored to be chosen to give them images of their day as seen from my perspective.

Friends and family gathered early on a cold morning to see a stunning bride rush into the arms of her Prince Charming.  Ok, there was no rushing, and I’m not sure how Joe would feel about the Prince Charming part, but everyone attending was thrilled for the bride and groom.  There was a delicious brunch reception to follow and cupcakes from Gigi’s!  If you haven’t had the deliciousness that is a Gigi’s cupcake, put that on your to do list for tomorrow, seriously.

It is always so difficult to narrow down what to show in this sneak peek for the bride and groom.  Cathy & Joe, I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images from your day.  I have lots more, so hang tight…I hope to have your gallery ready very soon.  Without further adieu, the reason you stopped by:

This next image was taken right after Joe saw Cathy for the first time.   I LOVE doing a First Look before the actual ceremony.  Giving the couple time to see each other and have a special moment together is one of my favorite moments in the entire wedding!  See that glimmer in his eye? That sweet man was all teared up seeing his gorgeous Mrs. headed his way!

Cathy’s little boy, Joseph, had a big day.  He was a perfect ring bearer but tuckered out half way through the ceremony.  Don’t worry, a little cake and he was bustin’ moves out on the dance floor!

Congratulations, Cathy & Joe.  It was wonderful reconnecting with you and your family.  Happy new life together!
